The module for operation optimization of district heating networks can handle a many-sided district heating grid that has a number of power and heat production units such as power plant blocks and district heating stations regardless of fuel type.
The module can furthermore handle a number of district heating zones in a district heating grid, where the individual heat producing units can be linked directly to one or more zones. This also applies to heat storages, which can be placed directly in the zones as needed.
The module calculates a suggestion for an overall plan for the CHP-units and the kettles in the city up to 6 days into the future. Furthermore the module calculates an optimization of the kettle performance in the district heating network on the basis of a given heat production plan from the CHP-units up to 6 days into the future.
The extended functionality of the module consist furthermore of a differentiation in consumer types in a local forecast model, calculation of time lag in the heat consumption compared to the source, handling of temperature bubbles and continuous automatic calibration of the characterization of the production sources.
